Back-to-School Sales

Every year, I get depressed in May. And every year, it magically goes away as soon as the Back-to-School sales start.
I don’t have to buy a thing. Just going to the mall and seeing fall clothes in the store windows makes me feel alive again. Back-to-school means that fall is coming (it’s not here, yet—school seems to start earlier and earlier every year). It means cooler weather and rain are right around the corner. I survived another summer.
Stickers

Crystal Laser Butterfly Stickers
I started a fresh bullet journal recently, and decided to add stickers. I can’t draw worth a damn, and I wanted my journal to be pretty for a change. And I had no idea how many pretty stickers there are out there. Millions! I like shiny ones, especially—gold foil, copper foil, crystal laser gold??? For this particular journal I’m doing a light academia/world-explorer/botanist motif, but you can bet your ass that next time I’m doing CRYSTAL LASER theme.
Dimension 20

By far the best deal in streaming TV right now is Dropout, for $6.99 a month. They have a lot of great content, the best of which is Dimension 20. It’s a tabletop RPG show in which the DM and all the players are improv comedians. They have a lot of different campaigns, which usually riff on popular culture and fictional tropes. “A Crown of Candy” is Game of Thrones in Candyland. “Misfits and Magic” is Harry Potter without JK Rowling. “A Court of Fey and Flowers” is a regency romance with faires, and “Burrow’s End” is a little bit Watership Down and a little bit Rats of NIMH.
There are over twenty seasons and I haven’t come close to watching them all, but so far my favorite it “Fantasy High,” which is billed as “if John Hughes wrote a Dungeons and Dragons campaign.” It might be a little weird if you’ve never watched people play DnD before, but it’s the funniest and most exciting show on TV right now.
